ecommerce, Logistics, Packaging, Retail, Supply Chain · February 3, 2023

Online fulfilment and supply chain solutions specialist, Walker Logistics, has become the front-of-shirt sponsor for Swindon Town Women football team.

Affiliated to Swindon Town FC, Swindon Town Women are members of the Football Association Women’s National League and, in 2023, celebrate the 30th anniversary of their formation.

Walker Logistics’ Customer Service & Marketing Executive, Freddie Gillespie-Walker, commented: “With the success of the England Women – ‘the Lionesses’ – in last year’s European Championship tournament, women’s football is experiencing a huge surge in popularity and is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK

“At Walker Logistics we like to support all sorts of sports so we are very pleased to partner with Swindon Town Women and intend to help the team wherever we can – not only this season, but beyond.”

James Watts, commercial manager of Swindon Town, commented: “Walker Logistics is already our Player of the Month partner and we are delighted that the company has extended its links with us. Walker will play an important role in the continued growth of our women’s team.”

Berkshire-based Walker Logistics offer a range of warehousing, fulfilment and distribution solutions to a diverse client base. The company operates from a 250,000 sq ft multi-client facility close to junction 14 of the M4 motorway and is currently in the process of adding a 125,000 sq ft extension to its existing unit to help keep pace with the growing demand for its range of services.
