In their most recent EcoVadis sustainability assessment, Toyota Material Handling Europe achieved ‘Platinum’ rating, which places them in the top 1% of companies assessed by EcoVadis globally. 
Toyota Material Handling Europe received 83 points in the latest EcoVadis Sustainability Rating and was awarded with the Platinum medal. Receiving this medal – the highest recognition – for six years in a row is a commendable accomplishment.
Since 2012, Toyota Material Handling Europe has significantly improved its score by 31 points, moving from Bronze in 2012 to Gold in 2013 to Platinum in 2019.
The company ranks in the top one percent of about 100,000 companies that were assessed worldwide by EcoVadis, a leading provider of business sustainability ratings. The EcoVadis assessment evaluates 21 sustainability criteria across four critical areas: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Defining social and governance (ESG) targets early on and following the CSRD—the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive—framework has helped Toyota Material Handling identify its material impacts, risks and opportunities. Not only has EcoVadis awarded the Platinum medal, but they also rank Toyota Material Handling Europe as Carbon Leader, a score recently added to help companies assess their carbon performance.
