The Logistics Guild has launched its exciting new web site, www.thelogisticsguild.com – offering big benefits for ‘life on the move’.  This portal to a world of exciting opportunities will enhance careers, through connecting members with routes to relevant skills and qualifications. It is also the gateway to a constantly expanding range of free benefits for anybody who joins the Logistics Guild.

Among these benefits are a free seasonal vehicle check worth £25; 5% off vehicle hire with Enterprise; and a Currency Card offering top exchange rates with no commission plus free overseas ATM usage. Free tickets to football and cricket matches and special rates on landline and broadband are also on the way.

Members whose employers pay for an Enhanced Benefit Package gain access to even more benefits – such as Gourmet Society membership (giving up to 50% off at local restaurants); a 7% discount retail card accepted at over 50 high street retailers (Love 2 shop); 3% savings on supermarket shopping at Asda and Sainsbury’s; 10% off vehicle hire with Enterprise; lowest corporate rates available on gym membership and 20% off car servicing at Kwik-fit.

The Enhanced Benefits Package offers a great recruitment and employee incentive, one that will improve business performance by raising employee engagement. Employees who recommend their employer at www.thelogisticsguild.com will also get the opportunity to win an iPad mini!

Keep an eye on the web site as more new initiatives are on the way during 2015 to support the Guild’s ‘Life on the Move’ theme. These will include packages for members to purchase directly, such as financial services. A Health and Wellbeing section on the site will include a type 2 Diabetes monitoring product for employers, enabling their drivers to self-test. Finally, the Logistics Guild Credit Union will be implemented during Q4 of 2015, for launch during the first quarter of 2016.

Momentum is building with the Logistics Guild. With 80,000 individual members signing up during Q2 of 2015, the Logistics Guild is targeting 250,000 members by the end of 2016.

Commenting on what drives the Logistics Guild, founder Paul Brooks, said: “There is a widespread recognition that we need to raise skills levels if the UK wants to drive up productivity, growth and job creation. There are 2.3 million people working in logistics in the UK and a third of these do not have at least a Level 2 qualification. Therefore it is incumbent on us to focus on an individual’s motivation around a ‘logistics lifestyle’ and how we can excite people to take up both benefits and qualifications. We genuinely care about making our industry more productive, and believe we can help our members acquire new skills and qualifications through making the right course choices for career enhancement. As the new web site shows, we’re offering members a fantastic range of benefits for a life on the move, at work and at home.”
