Vidu, the online recruitment portal for the logistics industry, has launched Vidu VIP – a bespoke executive search service that allows companies operating in the logistics space to find the right candidates to fill senior positions quickly and cost-effectively.
Unlike traditional headhunting services, Vidu VIP does not charge an upfront cost to search for candidates or demand payment to draw up a shortlist: user companies only pay a fee once an appointment has been made.
“When headhunting for senior roles, recruitment firms usually charge up to 30 per cent of the salary package of the position they have been charged with filling,” explains Vidu founder, Nicky Jones.
She continues: “In most cases this means that the client company pays a third of the fee up front, a further third at the shortlist stage and a final third once an appointment has been made. But Vidu VIP users only pay 10 per cent of basic salary on completion – at the end of the process when a candidate has ‘signed’”.
As part of its VIP service, Vidu undertakes confidential first stage interviews and creates a shortlist of potential employees. The shortlist is forwarded – together with a summary of each candidate’s strengths and weaknesses – to the employer for consideration along with the candidates’ pre-interview video profile.
“The Vidu VIP approach delivers a faster, more cost-effective and reliable recruitment process because the video profile allows employers to meet the person behind the CV before beginning the interview process,” says Nicky Jones.
She adds: “In my experience one of the biggest reasons why some senior appointments do not work out is a cultural misfit but the Vidu VIP pre-interview video profile approach reduces the likelihood of such a mismatch significantly.”
