Switch to outsourced logistics allows Bodie and Fou to ramp up stockholding
Bodie and Fou, online retailers of a range of high-end home accessories including bed linen, kitchen accessories, lighting and furniture, have awarded Berkshire-based logistics solutions specialist, Walker Logistics, the contract to manage their UK and European supply chain.
Walker will receive incoming stock and dispatch orders throughout the UK and in to Europe on behalf of the company and, in addition to standard picking and packing services, Walker will gift-wrap certain pre-agreed items from the Bodie and Fou range before shipment.
Established since 2005, Bodie and Fou had previously operated their own London-based warehouse.
“Outsourcing to a supply chain specialist will free up the time of key personnel within the Bodie and Fou organisation to do what they are best at doing – sourcing and designing stylish homeware for a discerning and trend-conscious client base,” says William Walker, sales director of Walker Logistics.
He adds: “The increased storage space and operational flexibility that a 3PL specialist offers means that Bodie and Fou can now start to ramp up their stockholding in readiness for a planned upturn in order volumes.
